Couldn't the Rockets have gotten LeVert, Allen and Dinwittie instead? What was wrong with that deal exactly?

They didn't like any of those guys. They're also trying to create more cap space. They'll be golden once John Wall's $47M per year contract ends after 2022-2023. And like I mentioned they're loaded with so many first-round picks from now until 2026. Most of them are unprotected. They're in great shape to rebuild. They even have a young rising star in Christian Wood. Unfortunately that ankle injury cost him a shot at his first all-star game.

The best thing the Rockets can do right now. Embrace all their expiring contracts and keep losing games.
We'll see what happens during the NBA Lottery. If we end up with the #1 overall pick I'll jump for joy!
This rebuild plan shouldn't be a painful one. I'll actually have fun with it. There's a lot to look forward to.

Or it could turn into a 2+ decades long rebuild like with my wolves

Allen and levert are solid 4th and 5th guys. Surround them wood and maybe 2 stars, team is solid.

Boston is trading center Daniel Theis to Chicago, sources tell ESPN.

Shoulda hit that buzzer beater lmao. Seriously though, where is Boston going with this team rn?

I have no fucking clue but...

After acquiring Fournier, the Celtics had to shed salary to avoid triggering the luxury tax

Theis is going to get a nice contract in the offseason. One the Celtics had no plan of matching and now the Celtics can now give all those minutes to Rob Williams

Green and Teague are absolutely trash so that was actually W

Wagner is a clear downgrade from Theis, but might be a better stretch option and the team’s ceiling is raised with Rob Williams in the lineup over Theis

I just don’t understand the salary shed to become players in the buyout market when there is literally no reason to join a 21-23 team + we all know where the 2-3 big names will end up...

As for Fournier, I am mad but it’s great firepower...hell be taking a lot of Semi’s and Grant’s minute...that’s huge

So, obviously a great addition but what a waste if they fail to resign him with bird rights
