what exactly are you under the impression he was doing?

articles i've read said witnesses reported the police were called for a domestic disturbance and he was attempting to break up a fight between two women.

why was he walking away from the police when they had their weapons drawn on him? i don't know, you don't know. it is interesting that your gut instinct before actually knowing anything is to blame the victim

my gut instinct is these police officers need better training, there is no need to empty a magazine on that guy from behind. they should be trained to de-escalate, as I said from the beginning they could've tackled him or something to subdue him.

this man did have a record a mile long so let's not act like he was innocently minding his own business trying to be the good Samaritan.

Black man gets shot by police

It's sad how poorly the cops handled* it.

Have they found out if he was actually wielding a knife?

He had a warrant for sexual assault and the cops showed up because he was waiving around a knife at a kids birthday party. He did not comply because he is a criminal and didn't want to be arrested. There are plenty of innocent people that are wrongfully arrested, convicted, and sometimes killed at the hands of police. This dude is not someone you should be defending. He posed a threat to his kids, the public, and the officers, He had a weapon. According to the law, the shooting is justified. All he had to do was comply with instructions, turn himself in, and face the judge for his crimes.

the cops had this fool on the ground but he resisted, broke free, then ignored them as he went to his car to then reach for *something*

it's clear that this guy could have handled it much better himself as well

the reports show that there was a knife and a gun on him

Totally agree with everything you said.
I’m not defending the man at all due to his actions.
Simply hate how poorly most of these situations are handled.
