4 years of prime Barrett is better than a 6 month rental for a treadmill team, yes

I mean, you're not wrong there. But I never said anything about it not being a good trade for Toronto...

Toronto getting anything for him was a good move. Otherwise he was walking for nothing.

I think it was a win/win for both teams. OG is still the more valuable player, but Toronto got a good haul for an expiring contract.

I would very much like that, but it's HIGHLY unlikely he isn't re-signed by NY.

They wouldn't have made this trade without some reassurance that he would be there long term. Then again maybe not, since they wanted to get out of the Barrett contract anyway and didn't plan to re-sign Quickley as he wanted to start somewhere.

ya if OG just wants the paycheque and NY is willing to give it to him then why not spend 4 years in the Big Apple?

Im not sure if OG wants the paycheque or the rings, maybe both

Morey should really consider giving up w/e it takes to get Spicy next to his brother

His agent is the son of the Knicks team President.

Hard to imagine a deal doesn't get done.

I dont see how thats a good fit. Siakam isn't a very good 3pt shooter and spacing is critical with Embiid. That seems like an Al Horford situation all over again. I mean I'm sure it would work and they'd win a lot of games but is it an ideal fit, especially in the playoffs?

I think Morey's primary target is and should be an athletic wing/guard

Siakam is 10 times the player Horford is.

You keep Horfords name outta your mouth when talking about Siakam... please and thank you

76ers would be even better in the open court and Siakam's playmaking would give them another option in the halfcourt. Then again you don't want the pace to increase too much considering Embiid's conditioning, you'd rather slow it down and play more halfcourt sets
