it's not being a Monday morning QB considering I said this in 2019 when the Butler fiasco happened. Butler had a bad reputation because he was with two shitty FO's and expected his teammates to care more than they did. Was Butler wrong? Minnesota and Chicago haven't touched the playoffs since he left, and Towns is just as soft as ever

oh and Butler is 3/3 because Simmons is as soft as baby shit just like he said... that Philly babied his ass too much

I mean don't get carried away, Jimmy Butler is a headache for teams internally. He did well his first year in Miami during the bubble when they all played with no fans and didn't travel. We saw how they looked this past season, a 40 win team and the rumbling of Jimmy being a pain internally already started. He folded in the playoffs too, 14 PPG on 29.7% FG. Can't wait to see how his last few years unfold....

Him staying with BB (who he didn't like) likely wouldn't have worked either. We can play the hindsight game, but picking Butler over Simmons a few years ago was definitely not even up for discussion for the teams long term outlook.

Nah Herro was feeling himself way too much after their trip to the Finals. Riley swung for the fences with the Oladipo move and it failed about as much as possible. Dragic came back down to earth and Bam played super passively against Milwaukee, he was passing up open mid range looks that he was drilling in 2020.

It was a collective slump for Miami and honestly most people thought they overachieved in 2020 anyways. Herro, Dragic, and Robinson were shooting it at unsustainable levels until they got clapped by the Lakers. It's easier for a jump shooting team like Miami to overperform with no hostile crowds to deal with. That and they had an unfair advantage with extra team practice time after the long break.

Sources: The 76ers are not paying Ben Simmons his $8.25 million payment due today as the three-time All-Star awaits a trade. Simmons still is not showing up to Philadelphia and has understood the ramifications of his holdout.

HOLD THE LINE!!

It's not like any of this can make his value go any lower, he's already holding out and made it clear he's not showing up.

The month/weeks leading up to the trade deadline in like December is where it's at. That's when we'll see more activity and guys get moved around, so let his ass hold out until then and lose more money

waiting for the inevitable "you know what, I realized I don't care about basketball. I'd rather stay at home in LA, bang super models, and play COD all day."

76ers trying to squeeze out that extra value could end up with nothing, then suddenly Brogdon and a mid 1st would be looking pretty damn good

Like I said, his value is as low as it will go and this is not the time of year to trade him for pennies on the dollar. That's like selling your stock during a major dip lol.

Play hard ball, and either force him to show up (unlikely now) or wait until the season and let him pay major money in fines and trade him when the market is hot and teams are looking to add or change their rosters which is inevitable.
