Jayson Tatum is untouchable in my eyes

Jaylen Brown would be the center piece of any trade for Kawhi
But reports are Ainge is unwilling to deal Brown if Kawhi isn't willing to negotiate extension (we all know Ainge doesn't give away assets)
That's why I don't see how there is any chance of landing Kawhi

Only package with Brown that works

Brown + Morris + Rozier + Semi + Yabu + Theis + Nader to match contract
There 0% chance Celtics would do that lol

Why would we take on Gasols salary + rent Kawhi while giving that up?

And reports already that Baynes is coming back on multi year deal
Also have Theis

Hayward alone + others(Morris, Rozier) + pick is more likely, but I can't see the Spurs wanting that unless Pop believes they are going to compete with LMA and G

I know for a fact Spurs want to unload gasol in a Kawhi trade, they want that salary gone.

its tough I honestly think the Celtics should stay away from this trade, worry about keeping Kyrie long term and not lose Kyrie and Kawhi next year while giving Up the assets to rent Kawhi for a year.

I still believe Kyrie stays. No reason to leave with the young pieces around him + hes been handed to keys to the team
We have assets to remain competitive for years (All our draft picks + Kings, Clippers and MEM 1st)
Also playing for a coach like Stevens...can't see any player not wanting too

Unless he's coming for cheap, it's not happening imo
If he's willing to sign, i'm sure Danny Ainge is all in with future picks + Jaylen
But even then, look at our payroll if were to have G + Kyrie + Kawhi + Horford -- too much lol

I'll add that like many other sources, Washburn just reported Celtics aren't even willing to include Brown in Kawhi talks

I think brown is untouchable as well

There is legit no reason for us to try and get a Kawhi or PG. We have both depth and young talent around that position. I'd rather keep building and developing. It's working nicely so far.
