you really think a. the spurs will trade Kawhi? (they don't have to right?)
b. we have the means to get Kawhi without trading Kyrie?
It's clear Danny likes Kawhi, as it was reported the Celtics tried to make a run for him in February (Spurs weren't interested).
A) Spurs do not have to trade him, but why would they just let him walk away?
I believe it's pretty clear he doesn't want to stay in SA

Easily...have you seen the offers out there?

Kyrie isn't going anywhere. Ainge believes he loves Boston...we'll have to wait and see

Brown involved in the Kawhi trade?
Tatum is untouchable
Hayward isn't going anywhere. He is Stevens guy.
It has to be Brown

also wouldn't it just be a 1 year rental for Kawhi? doesn't he just have 1 year left on his deal.
Willing to take the risk
He'd be on a team he can compete with for years

That's what I thought. I'm not too keen on giving up too much for Kawhi regardless.. Similar to players under Steven's, I feel like Kawhi is a product of Popovich. Sure, he's an amazing defender but I doubt he would be anywhere near the level he is if he played for someone like D'Antoni. I think his trade value would be massively inflated due to this, exactly like how Isaiahs was with us.
If it means giving up Brown, Tatum or Kyrie then it's a no from me dawg.
Kawhi is the best 2 way player in the NBA
He is not a product of a system
Elite as they get
