Morey is definitely up to something else after paying that to get rid of Horford.

Almost positive another move is coming.

For sure. This definitely means the Sixers are pushing for another trade.

What an abysmal decision it was to sign Horford though. I can’t believe you defended that for as long as you did mang 🤣🤣

Holy shit, what a day this already has become.

Not only do the Sixers get out of that Horford contract (Danny Green only has this 1 year remaining on his), but Danny Green is actually a really good fit and the type of player we needed to add.

Morey already making big boy moves. Sucks we had to give up a first and second just to get rid of him, but that first will likely be super late anyway.

Okay, much much better than originally expected

@wojespn
The Sixers are sending a lightly-protected 2025 first-round pick and the 34th overall pick in tonight's draft, sources tell ESPN. The Thunder are also sending Terrance Ferguson to the Sixers with Green.

Oh cmon lmao. Y’all had to include a 1st and 2nd to get rid of your prized FA signing from a year ago. Don’t act like this is some grand A+ Move

It's a net loss but this is a great salvage, the Horford contract restricted them so much and made them a worse team, at least Green will fit in the lineup and opens up financial flexibility.

Prized FA signing that didn't work out, because Horford looked like dog shit. Spacing was awful, and it simply didn't work out. Much of that was BB, but it's obvious Morey and company could also see paying Horford to be a backup C wasn't going to work.

Horford no doubt can give more than he showed last season, the situation was awful because the spacing was just not there and he's clearly not a PF at this age (he's a stretch 5). But the Sixers needed to get rid of that contract to free up flexibility and they did just that.

This is the first of a bigger move, watch. Horford gone, flexibility regained, they're going to pull something else off.

The 76ers could've simply offered those draft picks and Ben Simmons to the Rockets for James Harden! It's not like Danny Green is going to take them to the promise land. In before you tease me and say Danny Green has three rings and James Harden has zero. I already know you'll do that to me!

Absolutely worth it rofl

Traded $81m in salary over the next 3 years for $15m this coming year and had to include a couple non-impact picks to make it happen. That’s amazing.

Proint mad because he said for so long the Sixers couldn't get rid of the Horford contract and would be stuck with him for the next 3 years.

Literally gave up a 7th grader and a 2nd round pick to get rid of him, AND get a solid player in Green for a year.

lol!!!
