Who was #1 on the Celtics big 4? It was always KG in my mind.

I mean Pierce and KG were clearly the Celtics two best players on that 2008 Championship team, but Pierce was always referred to as more of the go-to guy.

That game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi's against LeBron where PP and LeBron went h2h was epic, both dropping 40+ and Pierce coming out on top at the end with some clutch shots and free throws.

Even LeBron had a huge deficiency in being a "go-to guy" which is proven in his 4th quarter disappearances in the 2011 NBA Finals and again in 2014 when the Spurs smoked them (literally the Heatles got manhandled with a larger margin of defeat than any team got beat in the NBA Finals ever)

Imagine if Giannis had some of the role players that LeBron had... Ray Allen was a sniper, Shane Battier was a lockdown defender and floor spacer...

Just look at all the shooters the Heat had for their 2 chips: Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers, Mike Miller, James Jones, Norris Cole...

FOUR of those cats played in 3 pt contests in their careers. the Bucks have one elite shooter in Middleton. Maybe Forbes can be another

anyways... don't be stupid nobody puts Pierce above KG on the All-Time list

KG 15 All-Star appearances > Pierce 10

KG MVP's 1 > Pierce 0

All-NBA 1st team KG 4x > Pierce 0

Total All-NBA selections KG 9x > Pierce 4x

All Defensive 1st team KG 9x > Pierce 0

All Defensive total selections KG 12x > Pierce 0

DPOY KG 1 > Pierce 0

Rebounds leader KG 4x > Pierce 0

Okay i have no idea why you're going off about all-time rankings rofl. Of course I'd put KG above Pierce on the all-time list, but that's not what we're talking about.

I said during that 2008 run, when Pierce was in his prime and KG (who was 33 at the time) was beginning to see his production slip as that was the first of consecutive years where his numbers dramatically dropped off (he was still a monster though). Pierce was the go-to guy, there was no question about that, but it was more 1A and 1B on that team with Pierce and KG.

Also, in regards to Giannis. Stop comparing him to LeBron. Giannis is nowhere near the playmaker that LeBron was and currently is, he isn't handling the rock that way, he isn't distributing like that. Giannis is a special athlete, but he's limited in many areas which is why he can't be relied on to lead a playoff team. Defenses pack the paint and Giannis becomes limited in what he can do because he's not running point, he's not shooting from outside, and defensively he stands no chance on KD.

What Chris Paul is doing this late in his career is Lebronesque in terms of Point Gods.. Damn he is adding to his hall of fame resume even more... If he takes the Suns to the Finals, which I think its between them & Utah, this will be one of the most impressive years in his entire career.. & hes like 40.
