Just seems like it was a good long investment that he dipped on. Good for him that he profited.

I had a target of 9$ as a long play when I bought in before all this nonsense.
Doubled my target I'm pretty satisfied.

I just have other thoughts regarding their debt and the industry in general

What is the bull case besides greater fool theory? You guys buying at 200 expecting someone tomorrow to pay 400? The 140% short float if still accurate is certainly adding kerosene to the fire, but a short squeeze doesn't add long term value. Company is worth 20B now; BBY worth 30B.
Surprised they havent done a share offering -- they can kill their entire debt for only 5% dilution.

NEW: The CEO of Webull tell us the decision to join Robinhood in restricting AMC and GameStop trades came from soaring costs to settle its users trades:

"It wasn't our choice ... this has to do with settlement mechanics in the market."

I don't think you know how naked shorts work.

Some of those shorts close tomorrow. If GME closes above 115. Those hedge funds are fucked. They need to buy back millions of shares (which many of them don't even exist) at high prices. Doing so cause the prices to skyrocket.

We aren't expecting other traders to buy our stuff back because the hedge funders are required to

Yeah I don't follow that's why I'm asking. What is significant about 115? And why is this squeeze happening recently instead of say 3 weeks ago? These short positions have been on for a long time.
In your use case what is your end game? Hedges are forced to buy back at high prices so you just hold until when? Next week?
