Dont forget getting absolutely dominated by the Nuggets. Well done Lakers

As long as he can control the flow of the game. Rack up the assists and hit those open looks.
Three years is enough time for him to mentor Amen Thompson. It's a great fit. Expensive too..
By the time his massive contract is over the Houston Rockets should be loaded and winning a lot.

@wojespn: Free agent G Dennis Schroder has agreed to a two-year, $26M deal with the Toronto Raptors, agent Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN.

Any word on Brook Lopez and Dillon Brooks? I'm still hoping the Rockets scrape enough leftover cap space for either one.

Not like they're competing in the next 3 years anyway, may as well lock in the guy they want next to their developing talent.

I hope not! Brook Lopez is very valuable at 35 years old. He would be great to have mentoring Alperen Sengun. And then his defensive tenacity and rim protection would be huge on a team like the Rockets. Which haven't played much defense in many years. Jabari Smith Jr. is one of the few players on the team that commits to playing hard on defense. He locked down Giannis in a game back in January.

@wojespn: Free agent Derrick Rose has agreed on a two-year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, source tells ESPN. Grizzlies want Rose on the floor this season and as a leader in locker room.

@ChrisBHaynes Toronto Raptors and Gary Trent Jr. — with CEO of Klutch Sports Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton — are working on finalizing a lucrative multiyear extension, league sources tell @NBAonTNT

Brooklyn Nets have now lost Joe Harris, Seth Curry, Yuta Watanabe and two future second rounders today, with nothing in return. They keep Cam Johnson (which they were going to do anyway). Maybe they add someone with the NT-MLE. But they're not getting any better as a team.

Feels like icing on the cake. The fact the Houston Rockets own the Brooklyn Nets' unprotected first-round picks in 2024 and 2026. If we're really lucky one of those picks is going to be top three and potentially first overall. You never know with the NBA Lottery. As long as the Nets miss the playoffs those picks always have a chance to be good. That would be something to cap off the James Harden trade.

EDIT - The Rockets also have the option to swap first-round picks with the Nets in 2025 and 2027. LOL. The James Harden trade keeps on giving. If the Rockets play their cards right they can build an NBA Title contender at some point.
