I wouldn't either...
I'm getting really weary of Kawhi Leonard. Sure he's one of the greatest players when healthy, but... Spurs is a classy organization, Pops is also a great head coach. So why is Kawhi Leonard now getting rehab treatment in New York with the Spurs playoff chances so up in the air, Parker criticizing Leonard, Green consistently having to back his claims up? Why is he so silent and quiet? It seems to me that Leonard is kind of a diva. Just like Kyrie, my perception of him changed a lot when he came here, and I have a feeling Leonard will be the same. His injury history coupled with his inability to get on the court, and the fact that there's been inconsistencies from both parties.
Tatum will be cost controlled, and honestly... I can see him being a top 7 player in the future. Why give that up, and more, for someone who's also gonna get at least 140+ million? Remember, we have to pay Brown, Smart, and we'll also have Kyrie and Hayward on contract for another year.
Well i left it out of context but Tom was asked even if Kawhii was healthy and he still said no. I would absolutely do that trade, Kawhi's only 26... brings you closer to winning now but i will agree with you it
may be better in the long run (talking like 5+ years out) to keep Tatum around.
