I'm pretty sure Smart is "optimistic" about returning in ECF -- if we make it
Don't think he plays before that

If morris and horford are healthy, i think we could make it out of the first round at least. Not expecting to make the ECF this year but the east is pretty weak outside of Toronto/Cleveland.

And yeah, I wouldn't count on Kyrie playing this year
Not even worth risking anything unless he too is 110% ready to go

Marcus Smart (thumb) is making good progress and said he hopes to return in time for the second round of the playoffs.
"Definitely right now, that’s what we’re shooting for," Smart said. "The way it’s going now, we’re on the right path. Hopefully nothing happens where it gets delayed." He had his cast replaced by a splint recently, so he's been able to do some light exercises with his thumb. Smart was given a timetable of 6-8 weeks on March 16, so he should be able to hit his target date if he doesn't have any setbacks.

True, I don't really care. This season is a wash for me, but man am I excited for the Jay Bros.

Def not a wash for me. This current stretch has so much impact on our future
I just don't want us to risk playing Kyrie anymore this year

We're getting an opportunity to see who we can keep to build around our core

I've said it many times, we need these players like Semi, Yabu and Nader to develop -- and they are getting every opportunity right now
All 4 players signed to 4 years contract next to minimum value
Imagine having that as consistent rotation pieces?

That would give us so much roster/cap flexibility

I didn't mean wash as in it's over. But I think it's more of a transition phase for me. Gotta see what our young players can accomplish first.

gonna miss most of tonight's game unfortunately. I don't expect we win but hope it's competitive.

Well Jaylen is most likely out. And Tatum is apparently on Twitter questionable due to his thumb still having soreness too.

Unfuckingbelievable.

are you fucking serious? why is Jaylen out?

K well bye bye 5 game winning streak or whatever. I just hope we win 2 more or whatever it is to get a better regular season record than last year.

Boston Celtics big man Al Horford and forward Marcus Morris should return to the lineup Saturday night after being removed from the team's injury report, but Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable for a meeting with the Toronto Raptors.

Quote
The Celtics announced Brown has a sore left big toe. It's not clear when the injury began bothering the wing, who was last seen downing the Utah Jazz with a game-winning 3-pointer.

The full injury report can be seen below:

Jaylen Brown (left great toe soreness) is QUESTIONABLE
Gordon Hayward (left ankle rehab) is OUT
Kyrie Irving (left knee surgery) is OUT
Marcus Smart (right thumb surgery) is OUT
Daniel Theis (left knee surgery) is OUT

Despite the recent rash of injuries, the Celtics will carry a five-game winning streak into the matchup with Toronto.

wow, surprised Morris is back, thought it was going to be longer. He's gonna need to put up like 25+ to have any chance of winning.
