17/10 guy in his 4th year in the league shooting a clean .650

DM moves the goalposts when it isnt his team

LEts look at Tobias Harris....

Oh WAIT. 17/3/6 on 4 more minutes pg and only .480 fg

Whats Tobias contract YOU ASK? 36 million this year, part of a 180 mil contract. 50 mil more than Ayton. LOL

DM bro what THE FUCK ARE YOU SMOKING?

This is funny because I was just about to bring up Tobias and say the Ayton contract is like that. A good player, but not a top franchise level player. Being paid because that's what the market demands and you don't want to lose him, but also not quite worth it although still a good player like I said.

Since joining the Sixers, Tobias has averaged 20/7/3 on 49/38/85 efficiency. Hell, in 2020-21 he averaged 20/7/4 and shot 51.2% FG, 39.4% 3PT, and 89.2% FT. Very close to a 20 PPG 50/40/90 season, and he had similar seasons in the past at 20+ PPG and flirting with 50/40/90. And funny enough this past playoff run he played great defense, something he was always questioned for in the past.

Then again, Tobias is our 4th best player. How many teams have a 4th option as good as Tobias? Not many, if any. The Suns are keeping Ayton because they aren't about to let a #1 pick walk, even if they aren't high on him (which they made clear by not wanting to pay him the max).

We would do it again all over. What are you going to do, let him walk after all of the assets that you gave up to get him for half a season? Fuck no. They had to re-sign him, other teams were preparing to do it if they weren't and they couldn't walk away losing both Jimmy and Tobias in the same off-season.

He's a good, not great player. He's now on the end of his contract, and next season he will be an expiring which would make it extra easy to trade if needed. At this point though he looked really good next to Harden once he got comfortable with his new role and played better with Harden (as did everyone).

yeah but nobody thinks the tobias deal is good value, not even DM.

i'm kind of glad we got out of the Ayton sweepstakes. He could be special but i like the direction our team is moving without him. Let somebody else see if he can be a difference maker worth a max contract.

detroit will rise

He wouldn’t be in the Celtics top 7 players

So, there’s that.

He would without a doubt be the #3 scoring option on the Celtics, and it's not even up for debate rofl.

Bro out of everyone in this forum, you'd understand the frustration that is injuries and more injuries.
If we are healthy next year, AD plays 75+ games, maybe sits once or twice to rest, and plays entire playoffs, same for Lebron, then that's all we need. I don't care if it's Westbrook, Irving or fucking Derek Fisher, we're gonna go deep.
