Bro the NBAs ratings drop is for a whole host of reasons other than your sentiments of reffing. IMO the biggest reason is because just like any other entertainment, the story lines are just not as mass appeal as before. Use to be Lakers vs Spurs & Celtics, then Lebron Era & Warriors era, this era has amazing basketball for us avid watchers but not for casuals.

Why do you think Curry lighting up the league on a pretty bad team we had brought soooo much eyes!? It’s shit like that that brings ratings. But there’s a lot of reasons too, streaming up, highlight generation, etc.

It's a really, really bad product to watch. You're right there are definitely other reasons it's dropping. But I can barely get through a game when refs are blowing easy calls also coaches are too scared to use their challenges so they often go unused.

I mean this game was pretty exciting. The reffing would piss me off if I was betting or if it was my team lol. I’m glad nobody fouled out, idgaf, I think it’s a very good product when they clean up the flopping more and more. They had it for a while then stopped no-calling the flops.

When calls impact the outcome of the game, heads need to roll. In the last 10 minutes there were 6 blown out of bounds and personal foul calls. Like really easy to make calls. I don't understand why officials need to go to the monitor to review a call. Set up a crew to overrule officials in a headset for obvious blown calls. It keeps the flow of the game moving.

Edit: and yes the block was absolutely amazing

It took tnt 10 seconds to play a replay of an OOB call that clearly showed the ball going off tuckers foot and not bookers

They have challenges, hold it till the end papa. Every sport has had huge calls & reffing effect big games, NBA is no different. Imo I try to not let that get in my head too much because unless it’s like a Tim Donaghy type shit, human error happens & effects the game HUGE in huge moments. Part of the game. Umps Miss balls & strikes, Refs Miss PIs & Holdings, NBA refs hold the whistle at the end subjectively.
