He is worth it. The suns screwed themselves. Sarver was trying to lowball Ayton, expecting a lower offer lol

He's not worth it though.

I mean the Suns benched him in the playoffs at one point. He's an afterthought in their system. He's a good big man, but nothing special, and his style of play doesn't go well with the direction of the league for big men. If he could shoot and space the floor it would be one thing, but he can't.

The suns benched him in the playoffs? When? Are u talking about that shitshow of a game 7 against the mavs? He refused to come back after the suns were trailing 30-40 pts....
I do agree that he is an afterthought in the suns system, but I think that has to do with monty, cp3, booker not fully utilizing him. Also, he can shoot, he has a pretty reliable midrange shot, and I think he could shoot more 3s, if the suns actually gave him this liberty.

yeah but nobody thinks the tobias deal is good value, not even DM.

i'm kind of glad we got out of the Ayton sweepstakes. He could be special but i like the direction our team is moving without him. Let somebody else see if he can be a difference maker worth a max contract.
