Smart's season last year was vastly overrated, that's pretty well known. He won DPOY because he was the best defender on the best defensive team and they were tired of giving it to big men lol

I didn’t say anything about his award……Rob should have won it. He robbed his own teammate.

I just looked at the PG list and found it hilarious seeing how many were ahead of Marcus. Just means that stat really lies. Especially a stat saying Luka defends better

Luka wanted NOTHING to do with Tatum guarding him.

Learn the game, study it, watch some youtube videos maybe, then come here and post something knowledgeable.

Anyone with any form of intelligence knows that Rob was our best defender, and the rightful DPOY.

Guy was a straight up beast last season.

Scary to think we are 15-4 without him this season and far away the best team in the league right now.

The rest of the league has been mediocre outside of Milwaukee who has been missing several key players. So congrats on being the early season champs, quite an achievement.

Why even post the stats then?

Obviously stats do lie, because Luka is a fucking dog shit defender, pure and simple. You said yourself Tatum is the better player, idk what me being. Homer has to do with anything.

I said two way player factoring defense, sure. Not better offensively though.

Luka is in a whole different class when it comes to passing and court vision. He's essentially a point guard. Tatum has improved in that area but he's still nothing special, still gets tunnel vision with poor shot selection. These two can't be compared in that regard.

Difference is when Tatum struggles he gets bailed out by Brown or others with more talent around him. When Luka struggles the Mavs get smoked because he doesn't have any other go-to guys to take over. At least last season he had Brunson to carry while he was out.
