If he were to shit the bed in the playoffs and they got knocked in the first round, it would be a mess. Doc would be fired and Harden would be a wanted man.
I think he has another gear though that he has shown at times this season. It has also been a major adjustment playing with a dominant big man who is the #1 scorer on the team, versus his usual guards/wings. The spacing is a lot different going into the post so often. Growing pains were to be expected as the team tries to gel, but they went 15-7 with him and he made guys around him better which is a really good sign.
His shots will start to fall, he will get to the free throw line a lot and you'll cry about it ;)
Well it's going to land in Hardens lap
Nurse will double Embiid every time he catches the ball and get it out of his hands. Which will lead to open shots for Harden/Tobias etc
So if the 76ers beat us with shooting - I can live with that --
On the other end, on every 76ers miss, I expect the Raptors to run....hard, and gas Embiid and Harden who are known for being out of shape/conditioning
The 76ers were the worst transition D team in the NBA - and it got significantly WORSE after the Harden trade, the Raptors on the other hand are top 3 NBA teams for fast break points, and first in attempted fast breaks
And this is of course not counting the fact that Phillys only Wing defender cannot play in 3 of the games .
good luck
