You're going to bring up raw FG% and 3PT% which are all accounted for in TS% which is a far more accurate gauge of efficiency.

Harden's elite playmaking has been a major boost to this team, everyone around him has gotten better since he arrived. The Sixers finally have a point guard that is not just a great passer but isn't afraid to attack and shoot and draws attention well beyond the 3pt line.

Pick and rolls are a lot more fun when your point guard is actually a threat to step back and shoot.

I love how you use TS% when it fits your narrative but when criticising other players, you’re happy to use FG% in that circumstance

You truly are one of a kind.

James Harden with Sixers

First 4 games: Since:
27 PPG 20 PPG
59 FG% 36 FG%
50 3P% 30 3P%

He has as many turnovers as field goals in his last 5 games.

Just wait until he plays this badly in a playoff game, they lose a game, and the Philly fans turn on him....

Harden has never played in front of a hostile "Home" fanbase before...

He is going to eat every ounce of heat from the media in Philly and the fans if he plays bad

Huh?

I've been using TS% since forever, don't play this game with me. They all have their purposes but TS% is a good indicator that a player is still having a major impact despite a low raw fg%, like Harden has. Of course you guys act like FT's aren't part of the game so that's probably why you don't like it.

He has shot like crap lately and still posting a 60.1% TS which shows you that he's still giving us more than Simmons would have offensively.

Yeah man, we've all seen that he doesn't quite have the same burst anymore. Still an asset though, and his playmaking has been phenomenal.

He needs to be better in the playoffs than he has been lately here in the regular season, we need that first stretch of games back when he was explosive. Maybe he has been coasting recently? Idk, but he's not nearly as bad of a shooter as he has displayed so those shots will fall.

If he were to shit the bed in the playoffs and they got knocked in the first round, it would be a mess. Doc would be fired and Harden would be a wanted man.

I think he has another gear though that he has shown at times this season. It has also been a major adjustment playing with a dominant big man who is the #1 scorer on the team, versus his usual guards/wings. The spacing is a lot different going into the post so often. Growing pains were to be expected as the team tries to gel, but they went 15-7 with him and he made guys around him better which is a really good sign.

His shots will start to fall, he will get to the free throw line a lot and you'll cry about it ;)

Well it's going to land in Hardens lap

Nurse will double Embiid every time he catches the ball and get it out of his hands. Which will lead to open shots for Harden/Tobias etc

So if the 76ers beat us with shooting - I can live with that --

On the other end, on every 76ers miss, I expect the Raptors to run....hard, and gas Embiid and Harden who are known for being out of shape/conditioning

The 76ers were the worst transition D team in the NBA - and it got significantly WORSE after the Harden trade, the Raptors on the other hand are top 3 NBA teams for fast break points, and first in attempted fast breaks
And this is of course not counting the fact that Phillys only Wing defender cannot play in 3 of the games .

good luck

The thing is, the game slows down in the playoffs. Everyone knows this. Half court game becomes huge come playoff time. Hard to exploit transition buckets as much come playoff time, ask Ben Simmons lmao.

Raptors defensive rating this season 109.9
76ers defensive rating this season 110.2

76ers offensive rating this season 113.0
Raptors offensive rating this season 112.1

Should be a good one.
