Celtics will not win a Championship with Tatum as their #1. He gets his, but he's just not really making guys around him better.

He reminds people of Melo tbh, super talented ISO scorer but absolutely awful shot selection and doesn't make the players around him better.

Bro you Can't just say that Embiid definitely makes people around him better Embiid is an unstoppable force that can handle the ball like a dude 6 inches shorter than him.

Tatum is good but Sixers has a point there that is Tatums weakness he is a shooting Guard/more of a 3/4 not a Point Guard and point Guards are what lead teams.

It really blends into my current analysis of the league where the flashy forwards the 3's and the 4's are being packed into teams thinking thats good because Lebron was a 3 that could do everything, or Durant is a 4 that can do everything. Or Giannis is a 5 (3) that can do everything.

But These modern plebs are all getting schooled. Miami is super strong this year becuase they have a solid old school Point Guard. Washington Has a Solid Point Guard and a Solid Center. More and more as we get furhter and furhter from the GSW Steph Curry Hlay Thompson and Iggy all these insane shooters/ stretch 3's and 4's like adding Durant that can just do it all; it seems that was even more and more like a flash in the pan. Credit to How fucking insanely good the GSW team was, but tradiitonal basketball positioning is starting to trump all of the new meta picks. I said this the other day; the team that won a chip the last 3 years has a tradtiional Center. EVen though it keeps getting lost in todays game. I feel like the Basketball meta did a very quick flip because fo the Curry and GSW Era; but old school proper solid basketball with a real 5 and an actual Point guard distributor and team leader seems to be with the teams that are winning right now.

I might need to do a lot more research and release an article to yall about it. Really educate yall on the state of the Basketball meta and how the Curry era really fucked with it.

Embiid does need a good PG to win a Championship, in this Point Guard driven league with the modern NBA. A center, no matter how good, can't do it without proper spacing on the perimeter.

But Embiid also gives the Sixers absurd on/off splits and makes them a MUUUUUCH better team when he's on the floor. Unlike Tatum who can sometimes kill the flow take his teammates out of the game by playing hero ball.

At least Tatum doesn't shit his pants for a 0 pt game because he's guarded by old man Marc Gasol

seriously though without Googling it can you even name one instance where an MVP caliber player had a 0 pt game while playing full minutes?

That was 2 years ago, during the 2019-20 season. He wasn't really an MVP contender then, he put up good numbers but they were well below his normal standards. I believe that's the season where he didn't even make an All-NBA team (and Simmons did).
