Happy James Harden Day. Since being traded to the Houston Rockets 8 years ago today: October 27, 2012

-18,167 points (#1)
- 4,713 assists (#3)
- 1,080 steals (#1)
- 3,695 rebounds (#2 among guards)
- 384 blocks (#2 among guards)
- 429 wins (#5)
- 114.1 win shares (#1)
- 26.8 PER (#4 , #1 among guards)

The Rockets have made the NBA playoffs all eight years since acquiring James Harden (2013-2020).
Currently the longest active streak in the NBA. What a fun ride it's been! Just missing that NBA Title.

that's still a joke offer...

Expecting to get a Kings ransom for a MVP caliber player is fools gold... Not to mention Harden has 2 years left on his contract, and if he demands a trade, it'll only worsen the offers you'll get. Any leverage you guys have, also the fact your franchise right now is in shambles with Morey/D'Antoni leaving. Being stuck in cap space hell and inability to upgrade the roster, you guys are definitely forced to make a move sooner or later.

It sucks, but rarely in NBA history do teams trading for MVP players both walk away satisficed.

but harden isn't looking to be a side piece on another team, he's still in his prime and wants a team built around him, which is what houston has committed to do

the only way houston get's fucked is if tillman cheaps out and doesn't put up money to support and harden gets frustrated then demands to leave (which is possible, their owner is insanely cheap for how rich he is)

Your second sentence is quite literally the problem Houston is facing as we type lol.

I think Harden will eventually ask for a trade out. What improvements could the team make with such limited assets and cap space available?

I still don't get the CP3 for Westbrook trade, but to each his own.

I don't think I've ever seen a player get so much hate, I mean people constantly leave him out of the top 10 list in 2020 which I find absurd lol. A player as great as Harden took one of the greatest teams assembled in the Warriors to game 7. It's unfortunate the CP3 injury occurred when it did, really threw away any momentum y'all had.

yeah and i'd imagine if you're him that's frustrating to get that close, be up big early in the game, then have the team fall apart around you

harden i think missed like 7 in that stretch of 27 straight? but was fouled on at least 2, and honestly just started chucking them up as the game fell apart

ariza and gordon were missing them wide open consistently in that stretch, i guess the pressure hit them

gordon sucks, i've always hated him and for what they pay him he's a total waste of space
