Players for the 76ers literally said they wanted Doc Rivers when the head coach position was still vacant and he became available lol

embiid for westbrick s/u

that way philly can break up simmons/embiid which both clearly want and have a real pg in the same deal

that's a win win win

e/

also, westbrick will make simmons feel better about being a guard who can't shoot...

game is half mental anyway, amirite?

Maybe, maybe.

There is a reason. The Raptors need to embrace a total rebuild mode. Siakham is a great player but he's not as experienced in the sport as most NBA players and his weaknesses show up. He's not a guy who will lead them to the promised land. He's a great #2/#3/#4 option but if they want to get back into contention, he can't be their best player.

Why would you trade away Siakam if you're trying to rebuild though? He's 26, coming off a career season and is on contract for the next few years, that's a perfect piece to start a rebuild. Alongside FVV and OG, all young and ever improving players, these are the assets you want to maintain, not trade away. Raptors need to look to move off Lowry, Gasol and Ibaka, the wrong side of 30 players and open up some cap space for opportunities in the future. They're in a position to skip the first 4+ years most teams have to suffer through in a rebuild.

Letting go of 26 year old First Time All-Star, (Starter at that too,) signed on for reasonable max deals is how you generally take a step back. Also, who said anything about Siakiam being your best player anyways? For 2nd/3rd option, Paskal really isn't that bad. Also by that bolded logic, technically that also means Paskal still has a decent amount of room/growth left +less mileage on legs.

People that dont perform in the playoffs don't do well under Masai

I don't want to trade him but I also wouldn't want another playoffs with Siakam playing like he owes someone money.

I would look at offers. I'm not saying I'd trade him, but I'd look at offers and I'd trade him with the right offer. He's a strong piece and he would fit on a championship roster, but if I'm the Raptors I'm looking at every possible option. Of course I'd want to see what I can get for Gasol, Ibaka, and Lowry, but what's needed is a superstar--probably two or three superstars. That's the only way to win in the league right now. The Raptors can't grab 2-3 superstars but they could grab 1 if the market permits, and a multi-deal including Siakham might be their best bet. In the longview he's their most valuable piece right now so I wouldn't let him go easily. But he's not going to drastically improve their state as their best player and they might not be able to grab a better player without moving him. Maybe they could move guys to pick up a few good draft picks though. And that's why I'd leave all options open--the Raptors won't get out of the East without a rebuild.

If they only want to be competitive, then they can make safe moves.

It would be bittersweet to see the GOAT get a ring with such a shit franchise and fan base, but DRose deserves it, so I’ll let it slide. Consider yourself lucky moneyinfant
