Oh really, how many rings did he win in Orlando?
And no, Shaq didn't do "far more" than Embiid in Orlando. Check the numbers again. Embiid top 5 in scoring last season (28 PPG), second in rebounding, All-Defense selection and finished top 3 in DPOY voting. Shaq never had a season like that in Orlando.
Shaq and Penny were awesome in Orlando, but he didn't win until he went to LA.
Shaqs seasons in Orlando.
23.4/13.9/56% (41w/41L)(rookie of the Year) improved 20 games to year prior
29.3/13.2/59% (50w-32L) first magic playoffs ever
29.3/11.4/53% (57w-25L)(2nd in mvp, lost to hakeem in finals, beat Jordan in his 1st season back from retirement)26.6/11/57% (injuried)
Seems fine to me.

Prime Shaq would get absolutely obliterated in the modern NBA space and pace game defensively. Not to mention he'd get killed in the P&R worse than he did in his era. He would be asked to defend the perimeter (which he can't do) and he'd have to run the floor way more than he did in his era. Defensively he'd be a huge liability, but then again Shaq was never known for his defense he was actually a liability outside of defending post ups.
people seem to forget how athletic Shaq was in early Orlando days lol... Guy was a freak..
He got fat once he went to Lakers and I don't really blame him lol.
2000 shaq was prolly around 300lb and actually gained weight to deal with Sabonis in the next years.
If he kept his early Lakers year weight he wouldn't be that bad on pick and roll. I do give props to embiid for sheding weight though this year. Still needs to chill with the 3s.

Not trolling, staying the obvious.
Embiid is absolutely more talented. He has a face up game, better foot work, more moves and he can score outside of just power dunking at the rim. He's also a solid defender against smaller players on the perimeter, an area where Shaq stood no chance (Shaq was the absolute worst pick and roll defender ever).
Wider array of skills doesn't necessarily mean more talented.
Just a matter of diversity vs specialization.
Shaq has 3 moves and you still can't stop him.
