Yeah i can believe that. He's obviously overpayed but he's an all star and has a high bball I.Q. it is what it is. If we can use him to get AD in a future trade people will loveeeeee Horford.

Also he's one of the best 3 pt. Shooters in the league right now (easily the best "big" 3 pt. Shooter in the league).

Horford stretches the floor, creates offense and is more than handy in the post. He's also a pretty good defender. He has nights where players murder him on offensive rebounds but I'll take all the good for that one negative trait.
He isn't a locker room cancer, social media whore or a stat padder like the majority of the other bigs in the league right now (looking in your direction embiid, boogie, drummond etc etc.)
Horford is spearheading the 2nd best ranked defense, and that is without our 2nd best player who is also an underrated defender. He contests more shots than anyone besides Smart, and even though he's a quiet leader, he tends to guide players and take them under his wing. (Brown, Smart, and Rozier being a couple.) He's well spoken, Dominican, and is also one of the league's deadliest spot up shooters. Make the point he isn't the best player at scoring? Sure he's not the best player concidentially, but he's a well rounded 3rd or 4th option.
Overpaid? I think so.
Underrated? I'm 50/50. A lot of people don't see his greatness, and why the Hawks made the playoffs so many years. You can argue that if we had Horford next to Durant, (which was the original scenario,) that would absolutely be mindblowing.
