Really good player. I'd like him but the cost is probably brutal

I agree. I think if it's the right deal, affordable, then make a move.

But don't go mortgaging promising young players or premium picks

Hearing the Sixers have made Maxey available in a Lowry trade

Yup, also saw this from Woj

"Beyond Lowry, Sixers have shown interest in other guards available in the marketplace -- including Powell, Lonzo Ball and George Hill, sources said."

Pull them

Defensive Player Of The year should go to the best defender who can guard the best player on the other team no matter what position they play. Unlike Gobert, Simmons can switch onto anyone and there are no matchups he can't handle.

Gobert is disruptive as fuck in the paint because he's so damn long (inb4) but he's not the all-around defender that Simmons is. They gotta reward Simmons for the work he's doing this season on top players from opposing teams.

U got it bub

This might be outdated by like a week.

BOOM just for DM

Rebounding irrelevant, Gobert is a center who rarely leaves the paint and has no competition on his team for rebounds lol. Simmons plays next to Embiid, Howard and Harris all of whom are better rebounder than anyone on the Jazz outside of Gobert.

These stats also conveniently leave out steals, deflections, etc which all heavily favor Simmons. Hmmm I wonder who put these stats together πŸ€”

Also, like I said Gobert doesn't match up against the best scorer every night. He plays help defense or gets assigned against one of the many weak centers in the league, where as Simmons defends the elite PG, SG, SF, PF or even C's on any given night depending on who they're playing.

In the modern NBA the ability to switch is super valuable, and Simmons does that as well as anyone in the league. Meanwhile Gobert gets absolutely destroyed come playoff time because teams know he can't defend outside of the paint.

76ers are now 6-1 in March without Embiid

Welcome to Philly, George Hill!

Led the NBA in 3pt % last season as the backup PG in Milwaukee at 46%

Love this addition

Like the George Hill move.

Seems they didn't make thybulle available for a possible Lowry trade. Would've been Maxey and a few firsts which I'm surprised they turned down for a 36 year old player

He was also a total cancer in the playoffs. Looked like he wanted to leave the entire time and voiced how basketball isn’t important to him
