Rebounding irrelevant, Gobert is a center who rarely leaves the paint and has no competition on his team for rebounds lol. Simmons plays next to Embiid, Howard and Harris all of whom are better rebounder than anyone on the Jazz outside of Gobert.
These stats also conveniently leave out steals, deflections, etc which all heavily favor Simmons. Hmmm I wonder who put these stats together π€
Also, like I said Gobert doesn't match up against the best scorer every night. He plays help defense or gets assigned against one of the many weak centers in the league, where as Simmons defends the elite PG, SG, SF, PF or even C's on any given night depending on who they're playing.
In the modern NBA the ability to switch is super valuable, and Simmons does that as well as anyone in the league. Meanwhile Gobert gets absolutely destroyed come playoff time because teams know he can't defend outside of the paint.
