He has been getting buckets at a crazy efficient rate since day 1. He was the clear cut #1 in Golden State just as he was in OKC. If he played with Harden it would mean they both sacrifice.

Offensively, they're not really changing a whole lot in terms of style of play. Jrue's game is driving to the rim, which he's really good at. He's an okay shooter (still better than Bledsoe though) but he has been inconsistent as fuck on the catch & shoot situations over the last 5 years. Jrue brings a higher basketball IQ for sure, and he's better at running point (let's not forget Jrue was an All-Star point guard at 22 years old).

The biggest gain for Milwaukee (and i'm sure a big reason for the move) is that Jrue can be an alpha and dominate when needed, especially in the playoffs. Unlike Bledsoe, Jrue doesn't disappear in big moments and has a high IQ and is a lot more reliable. They won't have to worry about him disappearing like Bledsoe did. Plus, Jrue is a great person and will be an awesome fit to the locker room.

I'm not entirely sure if it was a necessary move considering what they gave up, but they're desperate to keep Giannis and i guess they felt this was something they had to pull the trigger on. Jrue is probably the most underrated player in the league in my eyes though, and in many peoples eyes (i.e. KD who said Jrue is the best defensive guard in the league). They're going to love him in Milwaukee.

tl;dr: Style of play wise, Jrue doesn't seem like the best fit. But it will probably work out because he brings that reliable go-to mentality more so than Bledsoe and he's a smarter player.
