I mean you say something like "what has he accomplished, etc, etc, etc" but we literally just said that in addition to being ROY he's highly accomplished in his first 4 seasons....more accomplished than pretty much everyone else in his age/experience group rofl.

Let's see....comparing him to guys in his age/experience group in the NBA in terms of "what have they accomplished"

Simmons: 3x All Star, 1x All-NBA, 2x All-Defense 1st team
Mitchell: 2x All-Star, 0x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense
Young: 1x All-Star, 0x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense
Tatum: 2x All-Star, 1x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense
Murray: 0x All-Star, 0x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense
Booker: 2x All-Star, 0x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense
Ingram: 1x All-Star, 0x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense
Brown: 1x All-Star, 0x All-NBA, 0x All-Defense

And yet Simmons won’t land a single one of those “less accomplished” players, and you’d be doing backflips if they got any of them for Simmons straight up now

None of them are available for trade anyway, their teams aren't looking to move them right now...sooo who cares?

No reason to trade a guy for pennies on the dollar now, when just a few months ago he could have netted us a top 10 player in Harden. His value is at its lowest right now after a terrible playoff run, and teams know the Sixers need to move him so there's no leverage. I'm good with just hanging onto his bitch ass and forcing him to come back or just fine him a shit ton of money which will ultimately force him to come back and play until the right offer comes along (which it will because the NBA changes temperatures every week during the season). Trading Simmons now would be like selling your stock during the dip....no thanks.

People didn't believe me when I said there's a good chance he'll start the season in Philly. Whether it's in uniform or holding out, it's looking more and more likely that he won't be in another uniform to start the season (but will at some point this coming season).

There’s no other option lol.

And the reason being “the right offer” in the eyes of the 76ers will never come along.

His trade value is the lowest it’s ever been yes (can argue for good reason too), but I highly, HIGHLY doubt there’s going to be some huge elevation in his perceived value in the eyes of everybody but the 76ers.

Sixers could easily take one of these other offers they're getting if they wanted to dump him and just move on, but that would be stupid. You can't just throw away one of your All-Star players who has been an anchor on the team for the last few years, the same team that had the best record in the conference. People act like this is a star player on a bad team or something, he was the second best player on the #1 seed this past season.

No reason to trade now when it's hardest to get what they want for him, teams get desperate during the season and star players get grumpy and trade rumors kick up, etc. Giving him away for nothing right now not only screws the team but also gives him what he wants, and fuck both of those scenarios lol.

The thing is, there’s a lot of possible scenarios to be sure but Philly is in a permanent lose-lose with Simmons any way you want to cut it. They going to take an L one way or another bro.

I think it’s all about mitigation and damage control with Simmons to be real.

Well who knows how this will play out....

Sixers are reportedly hell bent on getting him to report, and for obvious reasons. They just want him to report and play so his value goes back up like it does every regular season.

It’s true. People underestimate McCaw’s goat’ness.

It’s self evident that he’s top 3 dead or alive. Not even a debate.

You can win a ring without even stepping foot on the floor. That's a terrible comparison lmao.

You can't be an All-Star, All-NBA, or All-Defense selection without standing out.
