I agree. Idk but I'm massively more on the rozier bw. Far more athletic, better shooter, seems like he has a better head on his shoulders (not just figuratively either, he doesn't look like an actual pitbull terrier) and a better shot creator. His defense and passing game isn't as good but it's still pretty good. I like how he plays risky defense looking for the steals anyway. Helps when we are down in late game situations to have a player who can pick off the passing lane and keeps the opposition mindful.

I like Rozier, but he's clearly playing himself out of a contract we cannot afford to match either. Smart will end up 10-12 million max, and I foresee Phoenix being our main enemy in the off-season.

We need Smart for GSW personally.

I also worry the Rozier has the potential to he a legit starting 1 in the league and he won't want to play second fiddle to Kyrie forever. Smart seems pretty comfortable in his role.

I think Smart is better for what we're building here...offense isn't going to be an issue in the future with Kyrie, Tatum and Hayward..

I hate how Celtic bloggers keep bringing up Smart's shitty offense and how Rozier clearly surpassed him... Which is false. Smart is slightly worse shooter, but he makes better passes, and better court vision plus size/switchability on defense. Rozier is very very STREAKY.

They are starters (not 100% on whether or Hayward will be or not when he returns but let's say he is) still need some bench offense. Monroe isn't a long term option and no one else can score for shit on the bench other than Rozier

People are forgetting just how good Smart is in every area of the game OTHER than scoring
Rozier can score, but like you said, he's just as inefficient

Roziers best defensive skill is playing the passing lanes
His DB skills are point, but he's a gambler at the end of the day
He doesn't clamp you up like Smart does + Smart can cover 1-4 honestly. He can hold his own against 4 and still force some tough shots depending who...that of course is because bigs today don't have a basic hook
Smarts ability to create for other is pretty impressive considering his inability to score
Rozier looks for the shot before thinking about the pass
That's why I value Smart >
