Crazy how Kobe and his parents basically didn't talk, although I heard him and his dad settled things recently.
But they were never around, they didn't go to his wedding with Vanessa, they weren't there much supporting him when he was in the Finals various times throughout his career (apparently they went to a few games when another fan invited them not Kobe) and they weren't there for his last NBA game.
Apparently his mom didn't like Vanessa and didn't agree with her because she wasn't black.
Kobe said his relationship with them is "shit" in an interview a few years ago.
