That's fine, but that's because the wrong people buy a gun and don't know how to handle it or have the mental capacity to understand what it's capable of which is another issue with how easily people obtain them in the U.S. That's where increasing background checks and mental health checks comes into play, which i fully support increasing.
I mean I have a Glock 19, it's not like I went full war hero status and decked myself out with assault rifles and hand grenades lmao. A simple glock that is in a safe for worst scenario situations. Haven't had to touch it other than bringing it to the range, and hopefully won't ever have to.
Yea, I hear stories from buddies who went to school in the midwest - people leave their cars unlocked and have their rifles in there. Different deal here obviously, but I don't think I could personally ever have a gun in the house.
