Buddy riots and looting doesnt equate to murdering peopel with a fully automatic weapon which is what you are implying might need to happen.

You break into someones home with intent to destroy or harm them and/or their home and you deserve to be shot in the face.

I have a safe with a Glock and I taught my fiancee how to use it at the gun range for that exact situation. If someone breaks in I'll give them a chance to reconsider and make them aware that I'm armed and willing to shoot them, but if they're armed or have any type of weapon or aggressive intention they're getting shot without warning...

Welcome to the U.S. way of life lol. Luckily it has never come to that, but it's better to be prepared for a situation like that then to become a victim yourself.

This. When you have a family that hunts and can stock meat for a year and can actually do more with a gun than have it sit on your shelf, there's nothing wrong with having a few guns.

Some people understand guns, and some people in certain countries don't.

Nobody said the world is going to end, but it might get scary enough where riots and looting starts happening all over the country, maybe even in my own city but thats probably a little too extreme. I might be going a little over the top though idk.

Still statistically more likely that gun will be used to harm you or your fiance than a bad guy.

That's fine, but that's because the wrong people buy a gun and don't know how to handle it or have the mental capacity to understand what it's capable of which is another issue with how easily people obtain them in the U.S. That's where increasing background checks and mental health checks comes into play, which i fully support increasing.

I mean I have a Glock 19, it's not like I went full war hero status and decked myself out with assault rifles and hand grenades lmao. A simple glock that is in a safe for worst scenario situations. Haven't had to touch it other than bringing it to the range, and hopefully won't ever have to.
