Btw, anyone knocking Danny Green still?

Shot 36.7% from 3pt last season on 4.8 attempts per game for the Lakers.

This season in Philly he's shooting 42% from 3pt on 6.3 attempts per game.

As if getting rid of Horford wasn't great enough, Danny Green is actually working out nicely rofl.

Remind me what he does in the playoffs again.

Regular season means jack shit and as a philly fan you should know this already.

Nobody plays real defense until the playoffs

Why "should I know this" as a Philly fan? Sixers have generally done pretty well come playoff time in the Embiid/Simmons era. They've got a lot of playoff wins under their belt.

Ben Simmons has 12 playoff wins in his first 3 seasons in the NBA, all of them coming in his first 2 seasons too. He has a winning record in the playoffs, and he has never been knocked out in the first round.

Do you know how many playoff wins Giannis had in his first 3 seasons in the NBA? 2. How many he had in his first 5 seasons in the NBA? 7. It took him until year 6 in the league for him to reach 12 playoff wins and advance out of the first round.

So yes, the Sixers have had quite a bit of success in the early stages of the Embiid/Simmons era so far in their first few years. What Simmons and Embiid accomplished in his first two years together is more than a lot of guys accomplish in 5+ years of their prime lmao. People here act like these guys are 30 years old and have been playing together for 7 or 8 years. They've literally only made two playoff runs together so far

you are the king of spinning a yarn out of bullshit. the 76ers have won two first round series since 2012 and they were against absolutely shitty teams. the Nets had absolutely fucking nobody and the Heat had Whiteside as their main star. wow big applause

tell the one about how the 7th seed Celtics swept your garbage ass team. can't wait to watch teams take turns exploiting Curry to switch onto him over and over and over

Since 2012? Simmons and Embiid didn't even play together until 2017-2018, but nice try. Before that it was full tank mode, so there were no playoffs lol.

Like I said, Simmons and Embiid have had a lot of success in the playoffs in the VERY early parts of their careers. Way more than most guys in their first few years.

Also, the Heat had Wade, Bam, Richardson, Dragic, Whiteside, etc. they had 44 wins and a top 10 defense in the league. Seems like a pretty solid first round opponents.

The Nets had D'Angelo Russell, Caris Lavert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris, DeMarre Carroll, etc. I wouldn't call that having "nobody" but okay lol.

Oh, and the 7th seed Celtics never swept the Sixers LOL. You're batting .000 right now man. The Celtics were the #3 seed last season and the Sixers were the #6 seed. Simmons also didn't play at all in that series. Good try though

so now we're featuring Wade's corpse as the frontrunner of the team? Bam started 19 games the year you're citing him and followed that season up with starting 28 games, that is who you are citing as the 2nd player on your list. proves you're just going off names

that Nets team is one of the worst defensive teams you could possibly name in the history of playoff matchups, in fact their defensive rating is one of the worst all time! LOL why are you acting like these are credible playoff wins?

the same Celtics team that spanked the 76ers are struggling to even stay in the playoff seeding this year

So now you've resorted to discrediting the opposing team? As if everyone else doesn't have the same opportunity in their first round? Embiid and Simmons earned a top 3 playoff seed in their first and second season playing together, combing for 103 regular season wins and 12 playoff wins in those first two years. That's wayyyyy more than what most players can say their first two seasons as their teams best players.

Again, that's what you'd call really good success in their first couple of years. Winning 51 and 52 games in their first two seasons together, dominating the first round both times, pushing the eventual NBA Champs to a game 7 buzzer beater in the 2nd round. Find me star players that had that much success in their first 2 years in the league....don't worry, i'll wait for that list.

And lol @ talking about that Celtics team. You're talking about a 76ers team that didn't have Simmons (which allowed Tatum to do whatever he wanted) and had a head coach that everyone already knew was being fired regardless (unless he made some miracle run). That Sixers team quit wayyyy before those playoffs started, plus they were in a fucking bubble playing in disney world where the damn Miami Heat made it out of the East lmao. 76ers were also the #6 seed so they lost to a higher seed, which is what is expected....

So again i'll ask, when have the 76ers choked? When have they underachieved in the playoffs?

the only halfway decent team the 76ers have beaten since Embiid and Simmons being drafted is that Miami team where Wade is completely incapable of playing defense and Bam isn't even a starter yet, you can't evade that fact

they choked hard against the Celtics because not only did they get swept but they got blown out in pretty much every game, and its not like the Celtics were some grizzled veteran team their 2 main stars are younger than Phillies 2 main stars even... and it's pretty clear the Celtics aren't that good given their performance this year

what do you think is going to happen this year when teams just switch onto Curry? are they going to intentionally run into Simmons? you aren't that naive, teams always exploit the weakest defender by switching onto them as often as possible
