Hey “miserable Houston Rockets” fan, get on my 17 year struggle level before you complain about your team sucking
It may all be worth the struggle if the Rockets win the NBA Lottery (14% chance) and land the #1 overall pick.
They have a top four protected pick and also have the first-round picks from Portland and Milwaukee. We'll see.
We should be able to draft a really good player with a top four pick. I'll trade the other two for a mid-teen pick.
The Houston Rockets should pounce on the 2021 NBA draft. A great chance to add some young talent.
We're also loaded with first-round picks in future drafts. From now until 2026 we're in excellent shape.
While the Brooklyn Nets sacrificed their future to win a championship this year we'll load up for the future.
Also a couple other tidbits I forgot to add. Very impressive big man play. Kevin McHale just talked about that presence in the paint on NBATV.
Joel Embiid vs the Boston Celtics this season:
— 3 games
— 96 minutes
— 115 points
— 60.4% shooting
— 3-0 record
He has attempted 56 free-throws in the matchup. The Celtics have attempted 58.
Zion Williamson has scored 20 points on 50% shooting in 25 straight games.
No other player has had a longer streak since the three-point era (1980).
Between two legitimate MVP candidates like superstar center Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic. Add in a young stud like Zion Williamson.
It may not be what it used to be during the '80s, '90s and early '00s (rule changes) but the big man play today is still A+ exceptional.
I grew up watching an NBA that featured a superstar center or power forward on every team. So I was greatly spoiled but I appreciate today's talent.
