Replaced Dwight with Drummond, basically a wash. They're the same type of player.

Dwight was good for us last year in limited minutes, he rebounded at an insane rate. Actually, he rebounded per minute at the highest rate of his entire career. Almost 9 rebs per game in just 17 min per game.


Drummond will get his 10-15 minutes per game when Embiid is healthy, and he'll play 30 min when Embiid is out or resting which is inevitable.

Dwight actually brings toughness. Drummmond was benched even with Davis out hurt.

Don't even try to homer your way into thinking they bring the same thing

As someone who just experienced this switch it is not a wash. Dwight was insanely more valuable in the paint. Plus his hype and energy are leagues above Drummond. Grats on the downgrade.

Dwight is also a foul machine who cries after every single foul and racks up technical fouls at a ridiculous rate, so what's your point?

They're literally the same type of player. High rebound low post guys that don't shoot or space the floor, only difference is Dwight is like 35 years old and Drummond is only 27 so there won't be as much load management with Drummond when Embiid is out. Drummond is a better scorer down low, more of an offensive player in the post but Dwight is more of a high energy guy which worked well for short spurts when he played.


Dwight wasn't even starting when Embiid was out most of the time. He was better off the bench, and still got his limited minutes because giving him a full load at his age was risky.

There really won't be much difference between him and Drummond, they'll have the same exact role and be asked to do the same thing. Drummond won't be asked to be a starter like he was with the Lakers lol, he knows his role in Philly.
