It doesn’t. Shaq had a huge impact on the game but Kobe was a more polarizing figure and someone who the majority of hoopers aspired to model their game after. Shaq, not nearly as much.

why would you change the NBA logo?

Is it? I bet if you went out and did a poll more people would say the Jumpman logo is the nba logo than the actual nba logo. It's not like it's the most iconic logo in the world.
