So I saw some discussion and questions about it here, but it's official now that Niantic has publicly confirmed the naming of the Eevee's to control what they evolve into. "Sparky yields Jolteon, Rainer gives Vaporeon and Pyro creates Flareon."

Only works for the first time. I've named 3 straight eevees Sparky and all 3 have turned into Vaporeon

Why would you want Jolteon lol Deff the worse by a lot out of the 3. Luckily you got Vape. My best Vape is at 1800+.

Rofl I want a Jolteon because I've got 5 Vaporeons and 4 of them are literally my 4 strongest pokemon. I've got 2 good arcanines and other fire types at the top of my pokemon but only 1 strong electric type. All about those matchups brah.

Matchups barely even matter, you should just use Vaporeon for everything, or Snorlax if you have a good one.

jolteon has crazy high as hes really not bad

also he already has vape so.....
