Marcus Smart to replace Hayward in the starting lineup for Boston

Kemba
Smart
Brown
Tatum
Theis

And while Brett Brown hasn't officially announced it, I completely expect the Sixers to move Horford to the bench and bring Thybulle to the starting unit.

Milton
Richardson
Thybulle
Harris
Embiid

This makes the Sixers defensive assignments much more favorable than they were yesterday in game 1.

Richardson -> Kemba
Milton -> Smart
Thybulle -> Tatum
Harris -> Brown
Embiid -> Theis (aka float in the paint and play help defense rofl)

Richardson played excellent defense on Kemba in game 1, and Thybulle played excellent defense on Tatum. Just need less switching and for Thybulle to be there from the start so someone like Tatum can't get going the way he did and find his groove in the first half.

Smart starting now allows the Sixers to hide Shake Milton defensively a whole lot easier, as opposed to having to stick him to Hayward or Brown.

The only less than ideal matchup is Tobias Harris on Jaylen Brown, but that's still a lot more favorable than Horford on Brown yesterday which allowed Jaylen Brown to get open so much on the perimeter as Horford played off him way too much to prevent the drive (and Jaylen killed him with the pull up jumpers).

Lol thybulle plays a couple of effective minutes and he’s suddenly the answer to Tatum 😂😂😂

We know he’s Aussie, so yeah naturally he’s going to be an absolute monster on the floor defensively as it’s bred into them dogs to be scrappy pricks, but he’s going up against one of the best offensive players in the league.. just settle your shit down DM

You act like Thybulle shutting down Tatum for one half of the game equates to him being dominated? Y'all were saying Tatum was washed up with his 1st clunker of the re-start... Keep the same energy then bruh.

Either way, it'll be a fun series although, I'd still rather get the Pacers.

I can't wait to see y'all changing your tune.

Thybulle spent the most time guarding Tatum of any Sixers player Monday night at 6:40 matchup minutes per, in that span Tatum shot 2-for-9.

Celtics obviously took advantage of the horrible mismatches from Philly's side to start, I mean Horford was trying to defend Brown on the perimeter (Jaylen Brown when defended by Al Horford scored 12 points and shot shot 4/7 from the floor and 2/3 from deep.) But as the game went on it became clear now what the blue print is if they want to win. Is Thybulle going to shut Tatum down? Probably not, it's difficult to shut anyone down in todays soft offensive oriented NBA but he can make life much harder for him to get comfortable and prevent him from taking over like he seemed to do last night. As long as Tatum doesn't get comfortable and has to work hard for his then we're good with that. Keep in mind that was also Thybulle's first playoff game, ever. He's only going to get better rofl.

Celtics already have a shit rotation off the bench, and it just got thinner as they really don't have anyone that is a threat off the bench. I don't wish injury upon anyone, and Hayward is actually a player i like (and feel bad for with all his injuries) but that helps defensive assignments a lot for Philly.

Then again, watch Marcus Smart come out and make it rain from 3 or some shit.

I tried to cum back way too early and its honestly never been the same since.

Yes our bench does suck. They are good for rookies on the defensvie end but very raw. This is the only thing that scares me.

Brett Brown says he has 'zero' interest in spacing the floor with 4 shooters and Joel Embiid because it makes the #Sixers easier to defend.

I swear to fucking god this guy right here

Also:

Agreeing with Stephen A. Smith :rofl:
