Lol thybulle plays a couple of effective minutes and he’s suddenly the answer to Tatum 😂😂😂
We know he’s Aussie, so yeah naturally he’s going to be an absolute monster on the floor defensively as it’s bred into them dogs to be scrappy pricks, but he’s going up against one of the best offensive players in the league.. just settle your shit down DM
Thybulle spent the most time guarding Tatum of any Sixers player Monday night at 6:40 matchup minutes per, in that span Tatum shot 2-for-9.
Celtics obviously took advantage of the horrible mismatches from Philly's side to start, I mean Horford was trying to defend Brown on the perimeter (Jaylen Brown when defended by Al Horford scored 12 points and shot shot 4/7 from the floor and 2/3 from deep.) But as the game went on it became clear now what the blue print is if they want to win. Is Thybulle going to shut Tatum down? Probably not, it's difficult to shut anyone down in todays soft offensive oriented NBA but he can make life much harder for him to get comfortable and prevent him from taking over like he seemed to do last night. As long as Tatum doesn't get comfortable and has to work hard for his then we're good with that. Keep in mind that was also Thybulle's first playoff game, ever. He's only going to get better rofl.
Celtics already have a shit rotation off the bench, and it just got thinner as they really don't have anyone that is a threat off the bench. I don't wish injury upon anyone, and Hayward is actually a player i like (and feel bad for with all his injuries) but that helps defensive assignments a lot for Philly.
Then again, watch Marcus Smart come out and make it rain from 3 or some shit.
