It was just Iverson essentially lol, don't kid yourself. Mutumbo, Snow and company weren't much help in the finals. The team was only going as far as AI could drag them, you know that
The idea that Iverson carried a terrible team and did EVERYTHING is overstated though. I love Iverson, he had incredible heart and was a straight up warrior. But he was a terrible defender due to his lack of size, and he was a volume scorer. He did put insane pressure on the defense though because he would constantly attack and constantly draw fouls.
That 76ers team is the only team in NBA history to have the MVP, DPOY, COY, and 6th Man Of the year, all in the same season. They were stacked defensively which allowed Iverson to basically play free safety on defense and do whatever he wanted on offense putting up 30+ shots a game. That was also a peak era where slow pace and iso ball were huge and teams could get away with bad spacing (the 76ers had terrible spacing that season).
Mutumbo (the DPOY that season and also an All-Star) averaged 17 PPG and 13 RPG in the Finals on 60% FG. He had to go against prime Shaq though on a Lakers dynasty, so you can't fault him for not winning.
