Gonna be real awkward in the Nets locker room when Simmons starts talking shit on Doc Rivers and Seth Curry (Doc's son-in-law) is there listening.

Rivers family dinners at the holidays are going to be interesting now that Doc has traded both his son and son-in-law during their careers lmfao.

Honestly if I’m Seth I’m happy to gtf away from my father in law

based on, what? If they're not healthy? Sure.

If they have their whole team? I could see them winning the East.

They just wont have the chops starting around the 2nd round if Kyrie is only playing ~half the games and Simmons disappears offensively as per usual; that leaves them with Durant (if he's even healthy) and some role players.
I dont see them being able to take down the 6ers or Bucks. The Bulls, Heat, & Raps would be tough matchups too and throw in the Cavs who look like they could definitely make a run.
Its going to be tough for them to make it all the way unless Kyrie gets the poke so he can actually play every playoff game, Durant can stay in the lineup, and Simmons figures out how to play basketball in the playoffs.
But we'll see what happens.

Well that's why i said if they're healthy and have everyone. If not then yeah, they'd struggle.

Also, Simmons is fine in the playoffs when he's trying. He quit last year, he didn't even want to play game 7 (reportedly tried to fake a covid exposure to get out of playing in that game). If he's motivated and trying he's a good piece to have and serves as a nice #3 on the Nets scoring wise and a defensive anchor.

I fucking hate Simmons for how he handled it, but the slander from some people got carried away. He's no #1 scorer on a championship team, or a #2 at that, but playing third fiddle behind Kyrie and KD and getting to do what he does best everywhere else? Good situation for him. While he has holes, he's absolutely elite in many other areas that the Nets lacked.
