I never “quit”, he got spooked out by shooting FT’s because he’s THAT horribly bad at them. So he just avoided attacking the rim because he knew he would just go to the FT line and fail. Yes he sucks. He’s never been a good player, always had deficiencies to his game that stand out like a stubbed toe but he statistically looks good in the regular season, so 76ers fans have put him on a pedestal for that very reason. But let’s not act like he just dipped out and wanted to lose…. He still wanted to win, but he obviously thought him getting sent to the FT line was going to hinder the team… and he was probably right.

If he had attacked the rim in the dying minutes of that series and went to the FT line and shot 20% like he did all series, he’d have been crucified regardless. Lose/lose either way.
