No Ben Simmons
No Tobias Harris
No Danny Green
NO PROBLEM - ANOTHER WIN
76ers so far this season:
#1 in offensive rating
#1 in FG% and eFG%
#3 in 3PT
#3 in FT%
What a start to the season, even without Simmons all season, even without Harris AND Embiid the other day, and again without Tobias and Danny Green last night, they continue to win and the young guys and depth on this team is showing.
- Seth Curry has picked up where he left off in the second round of the playoffs absolutely COOKING with his shooting. He is averaging a career-high 17.1 points per game and leads the NBA in true shooting percentage at 75.5%, shooting 61.2% FG and 53.7% 3PT.
- Among all NBA players this season thus far, Furkan Korkmaz is 3rd in fourth quarter points (51). His development as more than just a shooter, and now as a ball handler, playmaker, and his ability to drive might be the most impressive progression.
- Matisse Thybulle defense vs Derrick Rose, Jerami Grant, Trae Young, CJ McCollum and Zach LaVine this season: 95.7 possessions, 14 total points, 5/17 from the field, 5 turnovers.
- Tyrese Maxey is averaging 14/4/3 in his first season as a starting PG at 20 years old and continues to do a nice job starting despite being thrown into the role at just 20 years old.
The kicker? All of this and Embiid is averaging the lowest FGA (14.9) and PPG (20.6) of his career since his rookie season (13.8 FGA, 20.2 PPG). He's averaging a career high in assists per game though, because the Sixers finally have a team full of shooters around him and he's getting everyone open.
