I agree but both teams could use a shake up, and have the pieces around those players in their new homes makes sense. Pacers offer enough shooting and could use a little star power to get over the hump. Malcom Seth and Tobias and say the Pacers throw in Dougie Buckets then that gives Embiid all the room in the world to work. And for the Pacers Simmons running LeVert Warren Sabonis and Turner would also give him plenty of room to work. Just a thought, not saying this will happen by any means lol

I'd argue that CJ would be an all-star if not willingly playing 2nd fiddle to Lillard.
Also the consensus around the league for several years now is that CJ's numbers would benefit playing as the lead guard on his own team.(Especially considering his numbers increase whenever Lillard is out)
The team would still be embiids. But lets not pretend like CJ isn't an elite 3 level scorer.

Ben Simmons otoh is just as flawed as CJ. Just on the offensive side of the ball. Starting to look like his ceiling is right where he is at as well.

CJ isn't going to net you a giant haul. But neither is Ben Simmons.

Sort of a terrible excuse though, because Simmons has been playing behind Embiid for the last 3 years and he has been an All-Star (and All-NBA one of them) each of those seasons.

Simmons has been on the all-star team as a forward and a guard.
Lets see who he has to beat out these past 3 years on the West roster to see if he really had a chance.

I'm not trying to be a hater. But it's a real question if Simmons even makes the game in the West.
This is because for everything Simmons is, he is still a flawed player. Very similar to CJ. They're just opposites on both ends of the court.

I wonder if there was an all-offensive team. If CJ would make it? Very similar to how Simmons makes all-defensive.

I think Simmons either goes to Cleveland or Minnesota
