Lmao plz don't compare Embiid and Shaq defensively, that is one battle you won't win.

Embiid can defend anywhere on the floor at a high level for a big man. He has also been top 3 in DPOY voting like 3 times already. His impact defensively is well documented, he's a literal game changer (even if he didn't have as good a season defensively this year as he normally does).

Shaq was an awful p&r defender, and in general he was a weak defender in the post outside of defending back to the basket post ups. He wasn't a great weak side help defender by any means. He even admitted he took a lot of plays off on defense when he wouldn't get the ball on offense....

In no way shape or form would Shaq be a remotely good defender in today's game. He would get destroyed on the regular in todays space and pace game.

The stats say Embiids first 4 years defensively are just not as good as Shaq in Orlando. & that’s not even when he was all defensive teams either..
