Nice old meme

Tom Brady lost thrice kid

Good catch

Can't forget him losing to big dick nick

Edit: also just realized I said LeBron would be 6-6 if he wins his next 2. He'd be 6-7 and that's still better than Jordan's 6-0 because making it is still better than not making the Finals at all lmao

Nah, they just pulled talent from fewer places around the world (smaller globally back then when the NBA was an expansion era), they had less skilled players, big men stayed in the paint and were just asked to basically be big but never asked to defend the perimeter or space the floor, and zone defense wasn't even allowed (you had to always be defending someone). The game was so much simpler back then before the era of positionless basketball came about and everyone on the floor had to be versatile.

These days we got 7 footers running point, big men have to be able to move and defend the perimeter and space the floor, the game is so spaced out now it's a whole different challenge.

Players are faster, stronger and more physically dominant than ever before. They're also more skilled than ever before. Naturally, the game evolves and so do the players and players now do things that you would NEVER see then. The league is all about space and pace now which makes it far more complex and skill based.

No bigger boomer myth than the whole "tHe LeAgUe wAs so tOuGh BaCk iN mY dAy" when we all saw the most unathletic white guys defending Jordan all the fucking time

He’s 4-6 now, so if he wins 2 more he’ll be 6-6.

Jordan is 6-0.

I think 100% is a higher percent than 50%

Jordan would never go 6-0 in this era, mainly played against scrubs. By the time he dominated, lakers and celtics were past their prime.

Yeah yeah yeah idk what i was thinking, i was right the first time with what I said LOL. Shouldn't have been posting at 2AM i guess.

But yeah, say he wins the next two and brings his Finals record to 6-6. That means he has been to the Finals in 12 of his 19 NBA seasons.

Jordan on the other hand failed before even making the Finals more often, which is WORSE than losing in the Finals. Jordan has an unimpressive 6-9 record making it to the big dance, which is ugly compared to LeBron's 10-7 record in making it. Not to mention Jordan was swept in the first round on THREE different occasions.

It's cute and all that Jordan won all 6 times he was there, but what about the other 9 times he got dropped before even making it to the biggest stage? Guy couldn't even win his own conference 9 out of the 15 seasons he played....

I came across as a dick, my bad, I was driving & meant to pose it as more of a question. “I think lebron is 4-6, so 2 more would be 6-6, right?”

For me it comes down to career accolades because their career stats are actually pretty similar. With both of them leading the other in 2 categories, losing in 1, & tied at 1.

Lebron - 27 points - 7.5 reb - 7.4 assists - 1.6 steals - 0.8 blocks
Jordan - 30.1 points - 6.2 reb - 5.3 assists - 2.3 - 0.8 blocks

Lebron averaged more rebounds, more assists, tie on blocks
Jordan averaged more points, more steals, tie on blocks

So it’s kind of a tie.

I personally have LeBron above Jordan, and have had him for many years. Even if he wasn't the most accomplished, he was the absolute best and most complete basketball player of all time in my eyes. Even though I lost a lot of respect when that bitch went to the fucking Lakers.

With that said, the next couple of years will be huge for him. If he can even get one more ring, I think that'll set him over the top for even more people. Ring count doesn't make you the GOAT, i mean Russell has 11 and shit even Robert Horry has 7.

How many more years does LeBron have left in him though? The guy was an MVP this year and dominated as much as he ever has, so would we be surprised to still see him playing at an all-star level at 38 or 39? He'll definitely go 20 years strong and continue to break records.
