The Lakers, Clippers & Bucks should all be legitimate title
contenders off the rip, with the Nets / Warriors right there

Durants shot will still be lethal but his ability to drive and get to his spots will likely be diminished unless he can be the next Dominique Wilkins (come back near 100% of his former ability after an ACL year)

Most likely Durant will be somewhere between 70-90% of his former effectiveness. That could drop him from clear cut top 5 player to anywhere from 6-10 to bottom end of top 25

If Durant does come back 100 percent, then the Nets could be a legitimate title contender. I think Kyrie would be a weaker version of Westbrook, in the sense that his basketball IQ is marginally higher but his physical dominance just can’t compare to the things Westbrook was capable of

Leadership and chemistry will be the biggest question marks for the Nets. My guess is that there is too much freedom among the players and lack of discipline will make it easy for a team to punch them in the mouth and make them fold in the playoffs

Durant is still the best player in the NBA. Say what you want about his personality or attitude or w/e, hes still unstoppable. Nets made the playoffs without their 2 superstars .. nobody should count them out next year.

Durant and Irving will completely throw off the chemistry of the team

Durant was not the best player in the league before he tore his Achilles, and he definitely won’t be on the other side of it

Giannis, Kawhi, AD, LeBron were def all in the conversation.

Giannis won MVP so that’s a pretty good case.

KD was easily top 5, probably top 3, but definitely not indisputably #1

You listed the Rockets but not the Nets? KD may be coming off the injury but the team is also loaded with talent beyond just KD/Kyrie, they're easily contenders and could have a lot of potential trade options. Rockets are doomed to a second round as per usual.
