Pretty much everyone said that them trades were big wins at the time, and hindsight has proven them correct.

There were a few casual idiots at the time, that thought it was an L… e.g DM “the Celtics have no dawgs, the Celtics have no leaders” blah blah blah. But everything he says is a casual take. So it doesn’t really count

Horford was playing awful bball on the 76ers and then wasn't even utilized when he went to OKC. There was definitely uncertainty there...

Celtics sent Timelord, Brogdon, a potential lotto 2029 1st and Golden States 2024 1st for Jrue. Jrue was talking about how he wanted to possibly retire soon, simultaneous to how much he loved playing in Milwaukee. All while being great mates with Giannis, so people were wondering if after the title maybe he felt like he had accomplished everything he wanted to in his career

KP being super injury prone and basically just a spot up 3 pt shooter in Dallas was also somewhat of a concern. I mean the Celtics were so stacked that it didn't matter on their run, but he was missing playoff games

The jrue trade is the only trade I was suss on, and that’s only because we included Rob when I felt we really didn’t need to. What I didn’t know was that Rob and Brogdan had career damning injuries, and they’d likely never get back to their best. which is unfortunate for them, because they are such amazing players when on the floor (which is rarely)

So yeah, insane trade win in hindsight but at the time probably a 50/50

Every single other trade by Stevens was a ✅

Best GM in the league would be an understatement. Has an amazing mind for all of basketball. We will continue to be dominant as long as he’s involved in some part of the Celtics organisation

Edit: you’re also talking about Horford in Philly and KP in Dallas, when they played for other teams prior to coming to Boston. Which is a bit weird. KP was a wizard before coming to Boston and was obviously far more than just a spot up 3 point shooter. One of the best post up players, and rim protectors in the league. I don’t really care how Horford played in Philly. Everyone knows that franchise has no idea how to utilise players. He’s been an absolute beast whenever he’s been in green.

the point is all of those moves are examples of trades Ainge probably doesn't go through with based on his desire to come away a bandit

So how’s that relate to Brad Stevens winning every trade he’s made?

They got a dawg when they got Holiday.

JB is also a dawg.

Their two most important players right there.

That's about it though. Otherwise just a bunch of light skinned softies or white scrubs rofl.

Dez more important than Jrue, and KP is the most important outside of JT.

KP is a game changer. we see what he did in the short playoff appearances he had. If he was healthy the entire time, we sweep the whole competition

JB is a dawg. But he also benefits of not having the best defender go anywhere near him, like ever lol. Happy that he finally had a great playoff run though. He was due, it was the first good post season he’s had.

Celtics didn't win a chip until Jrue got in there and brought that Dawg and showed em how to win. Dont feel bad, he did the same thing for Milwaukee and look how much they miss him now.

Also, last time Celtics were in the Finals in 2022 JB outplayed Tatum too. It's just how it goes, JT ain't built for the bright lights and JB is. Hence why they finally won when JB took over as the captain steering that ship in the big moments. Can't win it all with JT at the helm, that is clear as day now.

How you gonna say that's JB's first good playoff run though. That man balled out in 2022 and got better in the ECF's and Finals that year. 😂

I'd have more to say but the Browns are so awful you deserve to see something positive.

Diabolical comments that you thought we'd just miss

Man just said KP > JB? While JB just handed your favorite team a championship and KP did nothing rofl. What the fuck is logic

Meanwhile JB swept the postseason MVP awards and carried that light skinned 30% shooting in the finals bum to a ring there same way team USA carried him to a gold medal.

You still hate JB, we can see it.

Edit: and Dez was more important until the Finals when Jrue did what Jrue does and outplayed the shit outta Dez. 14/7/4 on 54/42/100 efficiency in the finals from that DAWG Jrue.
