There are some generational stars that are actually almost untradeable because only another generational star can replace their value or a shit ton of pics + talent. & the teams that have those are so bad that the star would never want to go there.. Teams will give these players Super Max deals that only the team they have been on can give them & stars have to align for them to be in a position to shift teams.
Only times these work is when once in a blue moon they do become free agents or sign short term deals because of recently leaving a team. IE KD & Kyrie. AD etc.
Regardless of his lack of playoff success, everyone else but him will be traded & he will get extended till 2046 before the team lets him go.
Now if EMBIID asks for a trade, it’s a different story. This is the league we are in nowadays.

AD got traded tho so it could easily be seen as Embiid wanting to win on a stacked team and give up on the Process, exactly how AD gave up..
