I still can't believe the Rockets lost 125-124 in Double Overtime. I know it's tough to win at Oklahoma City.
But they had taken a 95-89 lead with 4:31 left in the game after Kevin Durant hit another mid-range jumper.

They should've been able to win that game in regulation. Alperen Sengun had a huge game. Superstar status.
I can't even enjoy Sengun having 38 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in a loss. 0-1 record. I'm depressed.

I have to dwell over this loss until the Rockets have their home opener against the Pistons on Friday night.

If the Rockets had Fred VanVleet they probably win that game last night. All we're lacking is a veteran point guard.
Hopefully closer to the trade deadline in February the Rockets will add the final piece to their championship puzzle.

Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier was arrested early Thursday morning as part of an FBI sports betting gambling probe, sources tell ESPN. The Eastern District of New York and FBI director Kash Patel will hold a press conference at 10 am ET to announce arrests from investigation.

Terry Rozier has been accused of point shaving and coming out of games with fake injuries multiple times in the past, but right now he is under investigation for his potential connection to an illegal sports betting scheme. An investigation was prompted after an unusually high number of bets were placed on him to go under his statistical benchmarks (points, rebounds, assists) in a specific game.

Terry Rozier is making $26.6 million dollars this season with the Miami Heat. The final year of his four-year, $96,258,694 guaranteed contract.

What is happening guys? Now the head coach is getting involved with gambling.

My goodness gracious. I can't even enjoy a morning coffee without another big news story breaking in the NBA.
So much worse when a head coach is involved. Because they can control a lot of things. Swaying bets in their favor.

Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups has been charged in an illegal poker operation tied to the Mafia, law enforcement sources have told @ABC News.

Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier was arrested in a separate but related betting case..

Billups, in his fifth season as head coach, was arrested in Oregon, where he is expected to make an initial court appearance on Thursday, sources said.

Billups coached the Trail Blazers in their season opener on Wednesday night, a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
