got my 10k egg up to 7km atm at lvl 13. going to be hard to keep it from opening until i reach lvl 20
if you spends hours a day near a pokestop the lvling is very easy

It doesn't matter when it hatches. It matters when you get it. I was level 9 when it hatched and it was only 64
