This man just said Shaq is nowhere near as skilled as Embiid ….

I can’t right now

He's not, Embiid is so much more well rounded. Nobody is arguing this, are they??? Shaq is the most dominant low post scorer in NBA history but that's where his game stopped.

Embiid scores from everywhere, hes a 3 level scorer and he's elite defensively unlike Shaq who was a pylon and could only defend in the paint and was known for taking many defensive plays off.

This is how evolution works in the NBA. Big men are just different now, well players in general are just different and more skilled.

There was literally hack a Shaq ….. that was a common NBA theme was to intentionally foul him so you didn’t have to try and guard him .

And you’re trying to make it sound like Embiids flopping is justified because he can shoot 3 pointers ?

Fuck outta here

Well hack a Shaq existed because Shaq had absolutely no shot, he had no touch at all and was garbage at the line. Meanwhile Embiid is a 80%+ FT shooter, a big reason his team not only led the NBA in FTA per game but also the best free throwing shooting team in the NBA.

Raptors came out last night looking to play dirty, get physical and took many non basketball shots at Embiid. Then you have the nerve to complain about flopping as if they weren't intentionally trying to rough him up because they can't stop him 🤣

While I agree Embiid is definitely more skilful than Shaq, was your comparing apples with oranges.

If Shaq played in this era then he’d obviously have adjusted his game to suit, shooting jumpers etc. likewise if Embiid played in shaqs era, then he probably wouldn’t have needed to shoot outside.

Moral of the story: fuck up

Well he’d have to, otherwise he’d be irrelevant.

What’s so funny about that

I get what you're saying, which is why comparing eras doesn't work.

Fact is, players now are better than they were before. The moves, the speed, the spacing because of range. It's to be expected as athletes evolve, and I'm sure 30 years from now there will be 7 footers doing even more than what Embiid is doing now.

Either way, Shaq had absolutely no touch. Like none, dude was just brutal force. Terrific athlete for his size, but it's hard to imagine he'd ever be a reliable jump shooter lol

For sure, but if he grew up watching players like Duncan and Dirk, then he may have moulded his game in H.S to resemble them types of players, rather than guys like Ewing and Barkley

(Them names are just quick examples off the top of my head FYI)

Honestly Shaq would still dominate in todays game. He’s a wrecking ball of a human being
