Lol what? Never heard this before. There's nothing wrong with his jump shot? It's quick and he has good form. Guy had the third best 3PT% in the NBA this season too. Elite level finishing and added top notch shooting this past season which was the biggest question mark for him entering the league (and the only reason he wasn't a lottery pick).

And open shots? He's a bonifide shot creator. It's not like Maxey just stands there and shoots open threes all the time, he has crazy quickness and shot creating ability to pull up on his own, as we all saw in the playoffs when he led the team in scoring in the postseason.

Pretty good chance we see Maxey at 20+ PPG this season.

His form is god awful, his ability to drive is what is creating enough space for that ugly ass lean forward, not facing wth your body type of shot.. Its ugly as fuck and I have yet to see one star Guard have such poor mechanics..

Again, he will be good but he is capped by this awful form. Good defense will make it almost impossible to get distance shot off leaning forward that way with the ball in front of you..

If you can show me one star guard that has had a glaring problem like this, I will concede. Sometimes his fade away looks bearable, sometimes it looks like a middle schooler.. Similar to Marcus Smarts 2pt shots.. We will see. Harden getting back into shape may help him a lot tho with separation enough to be efficient or catch people on the move..

Edit; its never good when a fat bald youtuber says that your shot reminds him of his own shot...

Maxey has a "herky jerky" style of play. It looks out of control at times and isn't always sexy but is so effective. Sixers fans have talked about it a lot but it's what keeps defenders off balance. He's like a blur, and his jumper is fast.

His improvement in his jump shot from year 1 to year 2 is nothing short of incredible. His finishing ability at the rim is already among the best in the league too, and now that he's shooting so well it took him to the next level. 18 PPG on 49/43/87 shooting splits at 20/21 years old is no joke and he thrived on his own when Embiid was out too (before they acquired Harden too)💪

He shot better after they acquired Harden though. Well, everyone on the team did. He's a shooting guard in a PG body. He takes care of the ball well though, doesn't turn it over often.

Maxey's finishing ability at the rim is already great, that's no secret. He came into the NBA as a highly touted finisher with incredible quickness and body control. His floater is also smooth as fuck. You don't shoot 49% FG with a 60% TS% as a 6'2" guard otherwise lol.

....but what nobody saw was him becoming as good of an outsider shooter as he has. 43% from 3PT this season (3rd best in the NBA). He shot just 30% from three his rookie year on just 1.7 attempts per game. That improvement though.

Incoming All-Star season within the next 2 years. 💪

Fun fact

After the All-Star break once Harden was acquired, Maxey averaged 19 PPG on 52.3% FG and 48.0% 3PT.

Getting a real PG next to him unlocked super efficient Maxey.

Beast

Already an elite finisher and the crazy part is he's already a better finisher than Simmons was despite only being 6'2'' lmao.

Now stats are meaningless? Lol I've heard it all. Appreciate the input though, you don't have an argument, so you just knock the cold hard facts presented in front of you.

Numbers don't lie. Maxey is da truth 😏
