So we can all agree to just act like last night didn't happen, right?
Embiid look dominant as usual, 31 points at halftime and carried the first half of the game, but my god did the rest of the team look sluggish and uninterested. Shows how valuable Ben is though, his defense and activity on both ends were deeply missed. Plus, without Ben they sometimes struggle to get the god damn ball up the court and run a real offense. Seth Curry can't run point, and he can't do shit right now anyway since coming back from Covid.
No excuse for that showing though, but that's the NBA for ya. Coming off a b2b on a West Coast road trip, with a look ahead game against the Nets coming up on Saturday, this thing was set up for disaster. Just didn't expect them to get destroyed like that in the second half.
Oh well, that's an NBA season for you and those games happen. It's all about how they bounce back from it, and there's a bounce back game tomorrow night against Brooklyn. Should be a good one.
